The African American Inventors Museum
Founded by a dedicated group of educators with over three decades of collective experience, the African American Inventors Museum (AAIM) began as a passionate effort to inform students about the often-overlooked achievements of African American inventors and innovators. What started as a classroom initiative has grown into a dynamic, nonprofit organization committed to honoring and celebrating the ingenuity and creativity of African Americans throughout history.
With a deep understanding of the power of education, the founders sought to create a space where knowledge of African American contributions to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) could be shared and applied. AAIM holds to the belief that understanding our past is essential to shaping our future. The organization seeks to bridge the gaps in America's historical knowledge, shedding light on the brilliance and perseverance of our ancestors while inspiring new generations to continue their legacy.
